As one of the driving forces of the green energy transition in the country, EVN Supply continuously invests in developing solutions that ensure transparency and reliability regarding the origin of the electricity delivered.
Starting back in 2021, EVN Supply established a system for certifying the green origin of the electricity it delivers to customers, audited by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). For 2024, more than 150,000 MWh of green energy have been verified and delivered to large corporate clients who integrate sustainable operations into their ESG strategies.
Through EVN Elektrani and its virtual producer with a capacity exceeding 200 MW, EVN Supply is building strategic infrastructure for the secure issuance and activation (cancellation) of Guarantees of Origin for electricity, in line with European practice. Additionally, EVN Supply is registered and fully compliant with the new MEMO certification system for Guarantees of Origin and will provide its clients with complete, official confirmation of the green origin of their consumption through the new MEMO Guarantees of Origin. In doing so, EVN strengthens its position as a supplier setting standards in transparency, reliability, and sustainability.
